Olivia Suguri, a talented graduate of Central St Martins and Bunka Fashion College in Japan, was approached by a Musician to create a bomber jacket for a press show.
Using her designs inspired by video game graphics, especially Final Fantasy, she created an intricate digital pattern design.
Originally designed as a womenswear garment, she altered the structure to make it fit a gentleman’s cut. She created all the cut and panel patterns as individual placement prints and designed them to fit on one digital image. Fashion Formula’s digital printing machinery and software allow you to create placement prints and to print them for optimum fabric usage.
Printing on Fashion Formula’s Heavy Satin FR, chosen for its weight to give body to the jacket and its vibrant, rich colours. Required in a hurry, this was delivered to her 24 hours after submitting her artwork.
